From Functional Products to Brand Assets
The EQPID Industrial Design Methodology (SIDM) is a systematic design framework developed specifically for large-scale industrial equipment.
Many equipment manufacturers possess strong capabilities in technology, engineering, manufacturing, management, and project delivery. Yet these capabilities are often hidden inside the organization and difficult for customers to see, understand, and trust.
SIDM uses industrial design as a process of design translation—turning these invisible capabilities into tangible product expressions through brand identity, quality, interaction experience, product systems, and manufacturing delivery.
It connects design philosophy, evaluation criteria, project process, and organizational delivery into one practical system, helping companies move beyond isolated product styling and build a consistent, recognizable, and sustainable product system.
To transform large-scale equipment from functional products into tangible proof of a company’s capabilities—and ultimately into long-term brand assets.
